I hope to not only give my students the tools to be successful in the classical realm, but in other genres as well by not only teaching classical pedagogy, but also Music Theory, Ear Training, Music History, Improvisation, and many other techniques.

"You should stop wanting your child to become a professional, a good money earner. A person with a fine and pure heart will find happiness. The only concern for parents should be to bring up their children as noble human beings. That is sufficient. If this is not their greatest hope, in the end the child may take a road contrary too their expectations. Your son plays the violin very well. WE must try to make him splendid in mind and heart also!"
-Shinichi Suzuki (Nurtured by Love)
"All Music, like people contains a beauty and a soul. For you not to recognize it is not Music's fault. It is you we are talking about! It is you who does not recognize! There are millions of people who love this Music. Are you here to tell me that all these people are wrong?"
-Victor Wooten (The Music Lesson)
I want my students to enjoy playing music, become better musicians, and thus become better people. I hope to instill the life lessons of discipline and hard work within them as well as “build their chops." I am a firm believer in the power of music and the effect it has on people, both playing and listening. The music does not come from the instrument, but from the player, just as the words of a writer come from the writer, not the pen. It is my goal to help them discover their story, and who they truly are though the power of Music.
